Founded in 2012, Bonnie Day provides interesting and engaging activity sessions for older people in care homes and other settings. Bonnie Day‘s published book of poetry, ‘Now tell me, how about you?’ needed an engaging write-up for their big launch night. Click on the little dog to find out more about their exceptional work.

Hat Fair

The Winchester Hat Fair is a festival of street performance art, held annually. Between 2012-2015, I was tasked to write articles about the audience reaction to this unique outdoor event. I had a lot of fun conducting interviews and capturing the hurly burly on the streets. Click on the hat to read a Hat Fair review.

Icelandic Moment

This craft beer company wanted a strap-line for their advertising campaign. It was my job to capture the essence of Iceland for their brand. This is what I came up with for them:

“Relish the flavour of this ancient land, where pure Icelandic water flows from the frozen heart of fire. Carefully crafted for you to share and enjoy… take an Icelandic moment”

Bright Shiny News

Article writing for this on-line magazine, Bright Shiny News. From learning to knit to learning to drive, these intimate portraits of human endeavour were a fun project. Click on the heart to read an excerpt from one of the articles.

These organic Bespoke Handcreams were a joy to write about. And I got to try them all out, too ~ divine! Product description can make or break your brand.

‘Stand in the hidden garden. Feel summer glide beneath your fingertips. Inhale the perfect day, as the heart of this infusion warms the very centre of your soul.’

Thinking Web

Simon Applebaum, Director at Thinking Web, says…

“Christina, at Word Barn, is the most talented copywriter and my go-to person for promotional copy for products and websites. She’s able to capture the essence of a product or service in the most inspiring strapline or slogan, and interest and engage with longer copy. I have no hesitation in recommending her for project work.”

Whatever the subject or scale of your project,

Word Barn has the solution.
